Periodic transactions

Postby osty01 » Wed Apr 25, 2012 11:09 pm

Hello, I would like to thank everybody involved with developing this very nice and useful tool.
Maybe I have missed some application, but what I would like to see in the periodic transactions ( repetitive bills page) is a check box on the left, when you click this check box the amount is deducted from your account as an example and then you can see the amount left on your account, the amount left on the account should be visible at the end of the line, meaning you could see by the end of the month or several months how much money you still have after all periodic bill could be paid.
Example
I have to pay my phone bill
Checkbox-date- telecom provider- due date-amount----amount left on account after this bill will be paid.
Thanks again for your answer and hoping to have help.

Regards
Osty

Thanks for this information, but this is realy not what I am looking for.

@ the devloppers
This could be a very nice feature/ application, indeed you could see directly in the periodik report when clicking on the amount to pay the maney left over on the account is this bill would be payed.

Maybe something that could be added to the program
If I may, this is a example of a other program using this

Thanks in advance for you nice work

I would love this feature too.

Also, it would be great if you could convert a normal transaction to a recurring one just when editing it. Instead of having to go to the Recurring transactions menu.

I like the way that AceMoney handles "Scheduled Payments", as it calls them.

There is an option to display future transactions on the main accounts screen:

AceMoney02.gif
AceMoney options Screen
AceMoney02.gif (57.59 KiB) Viewed 1082 times

When selected, future payments are shown greyed:

AceMoney01.gif
AceMoney: Showing scheduled payments
AceMoney01.gif (57.36 KiB) Viewed 1082 times

Because it shows future transactions on the main transaction screen it also includes the projected balance making it very easy to calculate what future transfers between accounts you need to make and set them up at your bank.

The current MMEx approach forces you to switch between screens and do calculations in your head to calculate the future balance, which isn't sensible.

Hi,

I would love this feature too. I've suggested the idea twice. Last time over year ago and I still wait patiently :) I gave example of Ace Money as well.

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1230&p=3365&hilit=damian_pl#p3365

I'm glad that there are more people who willingly welcome such feature. For me MMEX would be perfect owing to this feature.

These two images come from another program, "AceMoney". They are only to illustrate how I would like MMEx to work.
