Credit Card Account

I think MMEX is a great piece of software. I use it for all my banking, credit card, stocks and assets.

I will make one request regarding using the accounts for a Credit Card. Is it possible to include the LIMIT of the card somewhere so that in the Account View it shows not only the Account Balance and Reconciled Balance, but also the Funds Available (ie the difference between the balance of the account and the Limit)

E.g. If I have a $5000 limit, my Balance (Actual not Reconciled) is at -$3500, then my Funds Available would be $1500.

If you could include this into the programming, it would be very helpful.

I must admit that this would be a nice feature to introduce. Unfortunately in this version stream, this is not possible as we would need to provide more fields in the database to be able to store the extra information required.

Just adding extra fields could possibly render old versions of the database unuseable. When we expand the underlying database, a feature like this could be provided.

I agree, it would be great to have a section for credit cards...

What I do for that is create another database, and i open and account there with de limit of the credit card... So each time i use my credit card, i can see how much i have left.!

Yes, the purpose of any technology is to give relaxation and comfort to the people and the same thing is with this credit card. You can specify a limit until that you can spend money with that. After that you have to pay at the particular bank.

The credit cards are the most used and also the necessary things while going for any shopping or for any outings. These credit cards best serves the purpose for providing the money essentially whenever necessary, If we have a bank account and the cash deposited in that and if we have the credit card then the utilization of money is ours.
