Importing investment account positions

Is there a way to do this? When I say import, it requires column heads and doesn't let me supply ones appropriate for this type of account.

Not an answer, but an addition: It seems that one cannot search "import investment" on this board -- both words are "too common"! Isn't there an option for the uncommon co-occurrence of two words? If they are so common, why don't I find any answers here?

Hello Eleanor,

I am not sure by what you mean in this posting. If you are refering to attempting to import investment information into an account, this is not supported in the current versions of mmex.

As for doing a search on the forum, we still have not found a suitable solution to this problem, but this posting by omalleypat may help: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1056&p=3321#p3321

He suggests a google search as follows: site:codelathe.com/forum import investment

Thanks, Stefano, for this response. (Sorry it took me so long to reply -- I thought I had checked for answers a day or two later, but apparently not...)
If import is not supported for Stock accounts, it would be nice if that option was greyed out on the menu -- would have saved me a lot of time trying to get it to work!
